Sitting at a sweet 6/10 on the flex scale, the Lashed also has a semi-articluated cuff to allow to boot to flex across a certain point to avoid boot distortion. Whilst not being particularly heavy, the Lashed are still pretty rugged, the Performance backstay beefs up the rear of the boot, adding an extra layer of protection to avoid any issues where it connects with your highbacks. Upgraded this season from EVA foam to a new Performance Rubber Outsole enhanced with cushioning to absorb vibrations from riding and take some of the sting out of those heavy landings in the park. (Also doesn’t hurt that it keeps the price down…) Maybe we’re nostalgic, maybe we’re stuck in our ways but at the end of the day, there’s nothing quite like a classic lace for reliability, adjustability and security. As we’ve said, we love a traditional lace boot.
